Follow these easy steps to get your AEG FAVORIT 40850 Dishwasher up and running in no time.
Ensure that the dishwasher is transported in an upright position to prevent salt water leakage. Before using the dishwasher for the first time, check for any damage caused during transport. Do not connect a damaged appliance, and contact your supplier if any damage is found.
The water inlet hose, drain hose, and mains cable must be connected to the side of the dishwasher as there is no space for them behind the appliance. Ensure that all hoses and cables are not kinked or crushed when the dishwasher is positioned.
The water softener must be set both manually and electronically to avoid lime deposits on dishes and in the dishwasher. Manually adjust the water hardness dial on the left wall of the dishwasher interior. For electronic setting, press the ON/OFF button and follow the instructions for setting the water hardness level.
Open the door and remove the lower basket. Unscrew the lid on the salt dispenser by turning it anti-clockwise. For first-time use, fill the salt dispenser with water before adding dishwasher salt. Use the supplied funnel to fill the dispenser with approximately 1.0-1.5 kg of dishwasher salt.
To match the height of the appliance to surrounding units and compensate for floor unevenness, extend the threaded feet using a screwdriver. Ensure the dishwasher is stable and level in all directions.
Plug the mains plug into a correctly installed shockproof socket. Multi-way plugs, connectors, and extension cables must not be used to avoid fire hazards. The dishwasher's cable and water inlet hose with safety valve must only be replaced by a Service Force Engineer.
The dishwasher can be connected to cold and hot water supplies up to a maximum of 60°C. If located in a room where frost may occur, remove the connection hose from the tap after each use.
If you wish to use 3-in-1 detergent, press the ON/OFF button and then the 3 IN 1 button. Place the detergent in the detergent dispenser before starting the dishwashing cycle. Note that rinse aid inflow is automatically switched off with 3-in-1 function.
Ensure the dishwasher is screwed tightly to the work surface or adjoining units. Turn on the water tap fully, check that spray arms can turn freely, close the door, and press the ON/OFF button to begin operation.
